Our tour guide in Iceland, Bjarni had recommended we check out The Sea Baron for dinner one night and it proved a great place to sample some of the local fare at cheap and cheerful prices.
They were famous for their Lobster Soup which was homely, tasty and served in a mug with a plastic spoon!

We recently spent a few fun but very full on days in Iceland to celebrate my friend Sam’s birthday. Based on favourable word of mouth reviews and it’s status as #1 Restaurant in Reykjavik via Trip Advisor, she selected Fiskfelagid as her restaurant of choice for her birthday dinner. We had a really lovely time here. The atmosphere was romantic, warm and inviting and the service was very friendly. There was also some excellent background music with some good indie tunes!
Despite being a somewhat rowdy and rambunctious table of 11 (while all other diners appeared to be couples), we were never made to feel anything less than welcome and well looked after. The Head Chef, egged on by staff even came out and fed Sam her birthday dessert!
