Puji Puji
10 Mar 2011
It has always been one of my greatest regrets, that I never spent much time at Oriental City, the former shopping centre and food court based in Colindale which closed in mid 2008. If I’d known of it’s existence and all the affordable, Oriental foodie delights it had to offer during my first year in London, it would have made my time then all the more enjoyable.
Out of the ashes, one of Oriental City’s former Malaysian cuisine stalls, Puji Puji reopened in the form of a restaurant in Islington. We visited on a Saturday night and the small, suburban eatery soon became vibrant as it filled up with animated patrons enthusiastically partaking in the Malaysian cuisine and the zero corkage fee BYO policy.
